Cafe Waterfront - Eureka California Restaurant & Dining Guide

Cafe Waterfront

Located in historic Old Town Eureka, Cafe Waterfront is an exceptional oyster bar and grill. The restaurant building, one of the finest examples of Queen Anne architecture in the city has been listed with the National Register of Historic Places and is a recipient of the 1994 Governor’s Award for excellence in design. Although equipped with every modern amenity, the building remains structurally unaltered from its initial grandeur.
Originally the two story Weaver Building housed a saloon on the ground floor and supported a brothel upstairs. Since the building was so close to Eureka’s ferry building and main business district at the time, it was usually full of loggers and gold miners and had a rowdy and robust reputation for years.

Cafe Waterfront Testimonials

“Stayed in Eureka for one night and happened upon this awesome eatery. The best fresh local oysters, fantastic freshly caught crab and one hell of a Bloody Mary! Even though we are now staying in Trinidad, we drove all the way out here for their fantastic fresh seafood.” – FRANCESCA A GOOGLE REVIEW

“Beautiful location with a great view of the bay and marina! The food was fantastic! The omelette of the day spinach, feta and tomatoes really hit the spot and the blueberry pancakes were some of the best I’ve had! Wonderful staff that were friendly and kept my coffee mug full! Location, convenience and pricing - score!!!

My first stay at anchor Beach Inn, and I was very impressed with the rooms, the location, the price and the employees. They have view rooms, but mine wasn’t one of those, so no opinions on that. But the room I had was extra clean and spacious and extremely comfortable after a day on the trails in the Redwoods. Their continental breakfast was better than most and was well attended when I went through – THAT always tells you something. GOLDENDALE, WA TRIPADVISOR GUEST
